The following policy outlines Studio; etiquette, hygiene and health and safety policies in use at SJFitness4Life Limited. Please ensure you have read and understood this policy in its entirety prior to your first session at SJFitness4Life Studio.

STUDIO General

  • Opening times for the studio are 09:00 hours to 22:00 hours, Monday to Thursday, 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours Fridays and by appointment only at weekends.  These hours are guidelines only and may be subject to change at any time. 

  • SJFitness4Life reserves the right to use any individual or group photographs or videos shot in the studio of you for press or promotional purposes.  Clients are not permitted to take photographs or videos without prior consent.

  • Access to the studio is only provided to a client, once all client forms are completed. (New Client Form, ParQ, Medical Questionnaire and Lifestyle questionnaire).

  • The studio can only be accessed from the front of the property, ensure access rules are obeyed at all times.

  • Security cameras are located all around the studio including outside.  Do not disrespect the property and adhere to all signs and notices at all times.  Failure to do so will result in client termination.

  • You must complete a New Client form, a PARQ form, a Medical History form and a lifestyle questionnaire prior to accessing the studio. This is for Insurance purposes and to ensure that all injuries and issues have been clearly stated and observed before session starts.  All fields on all forms must be completed.

 

STUDIO Attire

  • Clients should arrive for their training session in the relevant attire, anyone wearing clothing that is unsuitable, will be refused entry to the studio.

  • The studio operates a very strict no outdoor footwear policy, please ensure you only wear indoor trainers, clean socks or clean bare feet (please also refer to “Studio Health & Safety”) please ensure socks and feet are clean.

  • Storage is provided for clients to place outdoor; footwear and clothing and personal items, under no circumstances are they to be taken into the studio.

  • Jewellery is not permitted on the following equipment; X-Poles, Aerial Hoop and Power Plate. This is to prevent damage to the equipment and to ensure the health and safety of the client.

  • Do not leave any clothing or footwear lying around in the studio.  Any articles of clothing removed during your session must be placed out of the way behind the studio door.

  • Clients must provide their own strapping or support for injuries or issues, do not turn up and expect the injury to be dealt with for you. 

 

STUDIO Etiquette

  • Studio etiquette should be observed at all times. Keep it clean, Keep it tidy and Respect all equipment (adhere to all equipment guidelines). 

  • Do not enter the studio whilst a session is in progress, please wait quietly, until all clients have left the studio, before entering.

  • When waiting for a session to finish, do not obstruct the exit route, please respect the property and leave sufficient space for clients to exit.

  • All equipment must be returned to its location in a tidy and responsible manner, once a client has finished using it.  Please do not misuse the weights or equipment by dropping them on the floor, failure to respect any equipment within the studio (including the studio itself) will result in client removal from the studio and recovery of any costs associated.

  • You are asked to arrive at the studio five (5) minutes prior to any personal training, classes or appointments, all sessions will start on time, if you are late, you may have to wait to join the session.

  • Mobile phones should be placed on silent/do not disturb whilst in the studio (unless pre-agreed), do not place on the floor or on equipment.

  • Clients using the Power Plate must ensure they bring a towel with them in order to use the equipment, no towel, no use.

  • Any bottled drinks brought into the studio should be stored in the cup holders provided, not place on the floor or on or near any equipment.

  • All spillages in the studio must be cleaned up by the individual responsible.

  • Water is available to purchase from the studio.  Please do not ask for a glass of water, this is a business not a café.  Bring your own refreshments or purchase them on site.

 

STUDIO Health & Safety

  • You must read, understood and adhere to all health & safety notices and signs.

  • You must comply with any reasonable requests made, in relation to matters of health and safety.

  • You must not behave in an aggressive, abusive, anti-social or threatening manner to any staff or member, or jeopardising the safety or enjoyment of others, anyone doing so will be removed from the property and if deemed necessary the Police called.

  • The First Aid kit, Accident Book and Fire blanket are all located just outside of the Studio.

  • You may not use the gym whilst under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, tranquilizers or any medication or other substance which may affect your ability to exercise safely. SJFitness4Life Limited reserves the right to remove clients from the premises should it be believed they are unfit to use the facilities.

  • If you are suffering from a contagious illness or have a contagious infection, do not attend the studio, as you will not be allowed access.  This is to prevent the spreading of viral and bacterial infections to other clients.
